Fed Bostic: Two interest rate cuts expected in the second half of 2024
On December 20th, Bosstick of the Federal Reserve stated that two interest rate cuts are expected to take place in the second half of 2024. The Federal Reserve cannot wait for the inflation rate to reach 2% before cutting interest rates, otherwise inflation will be "over-adjusted"; this is the strategy behind the interest rate cut.
