It was reported that Dolce Gabbana USA Inc., the American company of the Italian luxury brand Dolce Gabbana, was sued by a customer who claimed that their NFT purchase, which cost $6,000 and was meant to be used in the metaverse as digital clothing, lost 97% of its value due to the company's delivery error. The complaint stated that the digital clothing was delivered 20 days later than expected and could only be used on a metaverse platform with almost no users. Even after the digital clothing was released, token holders were unable to actually use them for the next 11 days because Dolce Gabbana had not obtained prior approval from the metaverse platform. Luke Brown, who filed the lawsuit, claimed that his purchased NFT lost $5,800 in value. Brown represents a group of people who purchased digital assets from the NFT project. The case also names the NFT marketplace UNXD as a defendant.
