Market participants urge ECB to extend wholesale DLT pilot and publish roadmap
the European Central Bank (ECB) has been using central bank funds to organize wholesale DLT settlement pilots for the past six months. Currently, more than 70 institutions are involved, and all participants have a very positive attitude towards the experiment and are eager to see it continue. They also hope to hear the ECB's next action plan by the end of this month and before the settlement trial ends. Thilo Derenbach, an executive at Clearstream, a subsidiary of Deutsche Boerse, strongly recommends that the ECB not end the trial period now and wait for several months or even years.
