Objects are created and managed by Move, a Rust-based programming language, and have a unique ID stored in the distributed ledger. Transactions can create, destroy, and write objects, with validators executing transactions in parallel for exclusively owned objects, ensuring high throughput with Byzantine Consistent Broadcast. For shared objects, validators use Bullshark, a high-throughput DAG-based consensus protocol.

The Sui token (SUI) is the native token of the Sui Network. Boasting a total supply of 10,000,000,000 tokens, SUI is used to pay transaction fees, participate in Sui’s governance, stake to validators, and take part in the proof-of-stake mechanism.
