About eth

eth is an ARC-20 token issued on the Bitcoin chain, leveraging the Atomicals Protocol. This protocol offers a straightforward yet versatile framework for minting, transferring, and updating digital objects—often referred to as non-fungible tokens (NFTs)—within unspent transaction output (UTXO) blockchains like Bitcoin. An Atomical, or atom, provides a method to manage the creation, transfer, and updates of digital objects, effectively establishing a chain of digital ownership governed by a few basic rules.
The Atomical specification is the simplest possible way to organize digital property on blockchains like Bitcoin. Its implementation is straightforward, ensuring maximal flexibility for managing both static and dynamic digital assets, artifacts, and objects. The rules are designed to be so clear-cut that mistakenly using Atomicals as miner fees becomes virtually impossible. Furthermore, it simplifies the verification of ownership transfers to the intended recipient, eliminating the need for third-party verification or running an indexer. Atomicals are self-evident digital object histories. Atomicals essentially provide self-evident histories of digital objects. Despite this, most developers and services might still opt for the convenience of running their own indexer to access additional benefits.
The Atomicals Protocol addresses the longstanding challenge of representing arbitrary fungible token assets on the Bitcoin blockchain. The ARC-20 fungible token standard finally brings colored coins to Bitcoin and uses each Satoshi to represent ownership units of deployed tokens. As a result, each token unit is perpetually backed by 1 Satoshi, serving as a 'digital gold content' that underpins the token's value. This also implies that the value of every token can never fall below 1 Satoshi, by definition.
ARC-20 uses the native Satoshi unit to represent each token, allowing them to be split and combined just like traditional Bitcoins. These tokens can be minted by anyone and transferred to any type of Bitcoin address. ARC-20 is compatible with wallets that support UTXO selection, such as Sparrow Wallet (external link). There are two modes of deployment: direct and decentralized. Below, you can learn more about the various methods of minting ARC-20 and their advantages.
The ARC-20 protocol also comes with a built-in ticker symbol service, offering a globally unique naming system for ticker symbols. Once a ticker name is registered for the first time, it becomes permanent and cannot be reused.

Can I purchase eth on CEXes?

Some of the most popular inscription tokens such as BRC-20 tokens, SPL-20 tokens, ASC-20 tokens, and ARC-20 tokens such as Atom and Quark are listed on Bitget.

How do I inscribe a ARC-20 inscription token like eth?

You can create and inscribe ARC-20 inscription tokens at web3.bitget.com/tools/inscription, atomicalmarket.com/mint, and satsx.io/inscribe/atomicals following this process:
1. First, buy BTC and deposit the acquired BTC in your Bitcoin Wallet.
2. Go to the inscription feature module on these platforms in your browser and select Atomicals.
3. Select FT > Mint. Enter the name of the token to be inscribed in the Ticker box, and enter the address of the BTC wallet that you intend to use to receive the token in the Receiving Address field.
4. Now click Next. The system will check whether the token you wish to mint is available. If not, this process ends here, and you may need to choose another token to mint. If the token is available, you will be redirected to the Atomical Mint Payload page.
5. In the Atomical Mint Payload page, select your desired gas fee option, and use the Mint button. The browser wallet extension will be launched. In the wallet, check that the mint cost and gas fee are correct before pressing Confirm.
6. Minting takes some time to be validated on-chain. You can see your inscribed ARC-20 inscription tokens in your wallet once the transaction is confirmed.
