Sam Bankman-Fried to Testify in Criminal Trial Over FTX Collapse, Points Finger at Former General Counsel and Law Firm
Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of FTX crypto exchange, is scheduled to testify in his criminal trial regarding the exchange's collapse. He previewed parts of his testimony, in which he plans to implicate former FTX General Counsel Dan Friedberg and law firm Fenwick West in the creation of documentation for FTX and Alameda Research. Bankman-Fried's testimony will focus on his knowledge of how lawyers were involved in the companies' operations. However, his comments during the preview were at times unclear, leading the judge to ask for direct answers.
