Horizen: ZEN is no longer a privacy coin and will completely remove shielded pools from the main chain
Horizen has stated on social media that ZEN is no longer a privacy coin. They have submitted a new proposal, ZenIP 42207, which will completely remove shielded pools from the main chain, disable shielded transactions, and deactivate all related addresses. Users can move their assets out of the shielded pool before the ZEND 4.2.0 hard fork in mid-February. In addition, Horizen is working with the Horizen DAO Special Committee to plan a vote on the ZenIP 42207 proposal before January 8th.
