CertiK: Vulnerability discovered in CosmWasm, fix patch released
Golden Finance reported that CertiK posted on social media X, stating that a major vulnerability has been discovered in the smart contract platform CosmWasm within the Cosmos ecosystem. This vulnerability allows for the submission of untrusted Wasm on more than 20 application chains. Once attacked, it will disrupt the confirmation of new transactions on the chain and potentially cause a network-wide interruption. The CertiK Skyfall team promptly reported the vulnerability (CWA-2023-004) and has worked with the CosmWasm team to release an effective patch.
