Socket: 100% compensation will be provided to users affected by the Bungee hacking incident
The cross-chain interoperability protocol Socket announced a customer compensation plan for the hacker attack, providing 100% compensation to all affected users. It is reported that Socket's bridge aggregator Bungee was hacked last week, with losses of about $3.3 million. After statistics by Socket, the incident affected a total of 232 users, involving 5 types of assets. Earlier this week, Socket has recovered 1,032 ETH, worth about $2.2 million. In order to fully compensate for user losses, Socket itself will also provide $1.1 million for compensation.
