On February 1st, Morgan Stanley analysts still believe that the first interest rate cut will occur in June, despite the pressure from FOMC statements and Powell's remarks on Wednesday. Morgan Stanley stated: "We maintain the expectation that the Fed will cut interest rates for the first time in June, but after Powell's speech, it is easy to see that employment and inflation data will lead the committee to cut rates in May."
