US judge orders Ripple Labs to submit financial statements to SEC
As reported by Decrypt, court documents show that a US judge has ordered Ripple Labs to hand over historical financial statements to meet the US Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) requirements from years ago.In a filing submitted on Monday, Judge Sarah Netburn sided with the SEC and ordered Ripple to provide records from 2022 to 2023. Ripple must also answer questions about the amount of XRP institutional sales revenue it received. Ripple Labs argued that its financial documents are "highly confidential" and questioned the SEC's demand for their disclosure last month. It is reported that Ripple achieved partial victory in its court battle with the SEC last year, when a judge ruled that XRP sold programmatically to retail investors did not qualify as a security.
