Herodotus and StarkWare launch Cairo validator to scale layer 3 on Starknet
Starknet contributors Herodotus and StarkWare have launched the Cairo verifier, which will allow developers to use STARK (a proof developed by Starkware) to achieve verifiable computation on Starknet Layer 2, so that applications running on Layer 3 can use them to ensure security. Additionally, it aims to address key challenges that may typically limit the deployment of Layer 3 applications on Starknet, such as high verification costs and latency issues. Developers say this opens the door to further expanding the dedicated blockchain for Layer 3 applications on Starknet.
