Bank for International Settlements: Central banks of seven countries are promoting the tokenized commercial bank deposit integration project Agorá
The International Settlement Bank announced that the global central bank group is advancing a tokenized commercial bank deposit project called Agorá. The project aims to establish a trusted solution that integrates tokenized commercial bank deposits with central bank funds using smart contracts and programmability. Currently, the project involves seven central banks from the UK, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Switzerland, New York, and Europe.
