India's central bank governor: CBDC will be made available offline
Shaktikanta Das, the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, stated that the bank is working towards making its digital currency usable without the need for internet connectivity. Das stated that the usage of India's CBDC has reached 1 million per day, but people still prefer using instant mobile payment methods.
