Google Wallet has been launched in India
Google launched a digital wallet in India on Wednesday and integrated it locally. Ram Papatla, the General Manager of Android and Engineering Lead for India, said at a press conference in New Delhi, "Google Pay is our primary payment app use case. Wallet is tailored for non-payment use cases. Google Wallet will allow Android users in India to store and access their boarding passes, gift cards, event tickets, and membership cards. You can add all this information through QR codes, barcodes, links shared via Gmail, or the "Add to Google Wallet" button on partner apps.
