Pantera Capital announces plans to launch Pantera Fund V in 2025
Pantera Capital has announced plans to launch Pantera Fund V in 2025. Pantera Capital created Pantera Blockchain Fund (IV) in 2021, investing in the entire blockchain industry. It has now announced its successor, Pantera Fund V, which will have four main investment areas. Fund V will continue to invest in venture capital, investing in private companies that use blockchain to do better, faster, and cheaper. When the blockchain fund (IV) is fully invested (possibly by the end of this year), all new venture transactions will enter Fund V.
Pantera will continue to invest in early protocol tokens, with the investment process very similar to early venture capital. When protocol developers have an idea, they meet them, invest in the project, and then try to help them grow and succeed in the three to four years needed for listing and entering the market. Pantera has also received very attractive special opportunities, including discounted tokens directly from the foundation's treasury, which have a lock-up period of several years. 20% of Fund V will be invested in liquid/public tokens.
