U.S. Bancorp and Rothschild Reveal Q1 Spot Bitcoin ETF Purchases of Around $20 Million
US Bancorp disclosed on May 8th that it has invested over $15 million in a bitcoin ETF. The company revealed that it purchased approximately 87,744 shares of Fidelity's FBTC stock, worth $5.4 million, 46,011 shares of Grayscale's GBTC stock, worth $2.9 million, and 178,567 shares of BlackRock's IBIT stock, worth $7.2 million. According to its latest 13F filing, the company's total investment is $71.8 billion.
Edmond De Rothschild Holding SA separately disclosed on May 9th that it has invested over $4.2 million in a bitcoin ETF. The company reported that it holds 103,600 shares of BlackRock's IBIT stock, worth slightly less than $4.2 million. It also reported 1,300 shares of GBTC stock, worth $82,121. According to its latest 13F filing, the company's total investment is $6 billion.
In addition, Hightower Advisors, SouthState Bank, Susquehanna International Group, BNP Paribas, Burkett Financial Services, and Legacy Wealth Asset Management have all purchased the ETF.
Meanwhile, MassMutual reported that on May 9th it continued to invest in Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) with an investment of 227 shares worth $14,340.
