X platform intends to hide user "like" information, Vitalik suggests Farcaster to use zupoll's technology to emulate this policy
An engineer from social media platform X has stated that X is making likes private. Public likes encourage incorrect behavior. For example, many people are hesitant to like potentially "controversial" content out of fear of retaliation from trolls or to protect their public image. Soon, users will be able to like without worrying about who will see it. Additionally, it is worth noting that the more posts a user likes, the better the recommendation algorithm will become for them.In response, Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, commented, "This is a good decision. Favoring fraud is a big problem in society, and we need to see people's honest opinions. It would be cool if Farcaster could mimic it and implement ZK likes. Perhaps zupoll's technology could be borrowed."
