Delphi Digital: BF-FRI makes L1 verification more efficient
Delphi Digital, a research institution in the cryptocurrency field, released a special research report titled "The Dawn of Bitcoin Programmability: Paving the Way for Rollups", which provides a detailed analysis of Rollup-related technologies and development status in the Bitcoin ecosystem. In the project introduction section, Delphi Digital focuses on the solution and technical characteristics of Bitlayer, a native Layer 2 network of Bitcoin, including the zkSTARK proof system, the original Bitcoin-Friendly FRI component, the challenge mechanism based on BitVM2, and the OP-DLC dual-channel asset bridge. The report states that Bitlayer's unique Bitcoin-Friendly FRI reduces the number of states that need to be disclosed by 2/3, which could make L1 verification more efficient.
