Polymarket ends its ETH ETF prediction market
Polymarket will end the prediction market for the Ethereum ETF approval before May 31. This decision was made after the controversy caused by the approval of multiple 19b-4 filings for the spot ETH ETF by the US Securities and Exchange Commission, while the necessary S-1 filing for the exchange has not yet been approved. Some users believe that the ETF has not been fully approved until both filings are approved. The Optimistic Oracle provider UMA Protocol ultimately determined the "yes" result based on the approved 19b-4 filing.
Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart pointed out that historically, 19b-4 approval leads to S-1 approval. The total amount of bets on the prediction market is $13.2 million.
