Fed's Williams: I don't know when to cut interest rates, it will depend on data performance
William of the Federal Reserve stated that he doesn't know when the interest rate will be lowered, and it will depend on the performance of the data. There is sufficient evidence to show that monetary policy is restrictive; it is predicted that the PCE inflation rate will fall to 2.5% in 2024 and approach 2% in 2025; it is expected that US inflation will slow down in the second half of 2024; it is predicted that GDP growth will be 2%-2.5% in 2024, and the unemployment rate will be around 4%; recent data does not mean that the trend of inflation decline has been interrupted.
