Matter Labs abandons "ZK" trademark application
Matter Labs, the entity behind zkSync, announced on the X platform that it has decided to abandon all trademark applications for the term "ZK". After discussions, the team found that it was impossible to reach a consensus among a group of people who are trusted and neutral. Solutions that work for Ethereum may not work for the entire world.
Earlier, Matter Labs proposed to create a community-led entity that holds the ZK trademark and provide financial support.
