dYdX Chain protocol software upgrade to v5.0 has been approved by the community vote
The dYdX Foundation announced on the X platform that the dYdX community voted to support upgrading the dYdX Chain protocol software to version 5.0, with a voting rate of 90%, of which 98.5% voted in favor. The software upgrade will be executed at block 17,560,000. The block is expected to be generated at 23:16 UTC on June 6th, Beijing time (based on a block time of 1.009 seconds). Validators are encouraged to prepare for this upgrade, including running Slinky sidecar v0.4.6 or a newer version.
Yesterday, dYdX CEO outlined the vision for dYdX Chain, stating that the dYdX Chain software will support derivatives for any asset, and the first step in this direction will be revealed in the upcoming version 5.0, which includes the unveiling of a brand new sovereign oracle architecture provided by Skip Protocol.
