Wu Jiezhuang: 10 JPEX victims plan civil claims, and the "Web3 and Virtual Asset Development Subcommittee" will hold its first meeting
Hong Kong Legislative Council member Wu Jie Zhuang stated that about 10 victims plan to make civil claims against JPEX. If the claim is successful, the compensation amount will be based on the amount of the victim's "deposit". Wu Jie Zhuang added that the "Web3 and Virtual Asset Development Subcommittee" that was requested to be established last year will hold its first meeting. He hopes that in the next 12 months, the current regulations can be reviewed for any loopholes and optimization measures to ensure the sustainable and responsible development of Hong Kong's virtual asset industry. Additionally, they will discuss how to strengthen protection for relevant investors and increase market confidence.
