SEC to close Salt Lake Regional Office in budget and efficiency drive
The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will be closing its Salt Lake Regional Office (SLRO) later this year, resulting in a reduction of regional offices from 11 to 10. The reason for the closure is due to "significant attrition" and is part of the SEC's efforts to improve its budget and efficiency. The SEC's Denver office will take over jurisdiction over any enforcement matters previously handled by the Salt Lake City office. In other news, insiders of a meme coin endorsed by Iggy Azalea have reportedly made a profit of $2 million, while the presale of Solnarize's sustainability-focused meme coin and P2E game is expected to provide insights. Additionally, SwissBorg's compliance with FCA's Finprom rules is benefiting the UK community. All three topics were covered in press releases issued in early June 2024.
