French central bank prudential regulator advances smart contract certification
Denis Beau, the first deputy governor of the Banque de France, revealed recently that the ACPR, the central bank's prudential supervision department, is working with the industry to certify smart contracts. "In 2024, we will continue to work with stakeholders on an important ACPR recommendation, which is mandatory certification of smart contracts before their use," Mr. Beau pointed out that France's early cryptocurrency regulations have largely influenced the MiCA regulations.
