Hong Kong Securities Regulatory Commission holds briefing for virtual asset trading platform applicants
The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission held a briefing for applicants of virtual asset trading platforms. Over 60 participants attended, including representatives and advisors of virtual asset trading platform applicants who were considered for licensing. Dr. Yeung Chi Hang, Executive Director of the Intermediaries Division of the Securities and Futures Commission, and Ms. Wong Lok Yan, Director of Licensing and Head of Fintech, outlined the competencies that these applicants should possess, explained the licensing application process, and introduced the on-site inspection procedures.
