Base increases the gas target for each block from 7.5 Mgas/second to 8.125 Mgas/second
Base developer @wbnns announced on X that the Base team will increase the Gas target of each block from 7.5 Mgas/second to 8.125 Mgas/second, in order to make Base as fast, cheap, and user-friendly as possible for global users. For most users, no changes are necessary, but if running a Base node and noticing a decrease in performance with increased network activity, the following steps are recommended:1. Monitor CPU and disk I/O usage;2. Enhance disk throughput and use disks with lower read/write latency (NVMe SSDs are recommended);3. Improve CPU, focusing on single-core speed.
