Arbitrum core governance staff proposes to start ARB staking rewards
Frission, a core team member of Tally, proposed to use 50% of the future residual sorter fees to reward ARB token holders who stake and actively delegate their tokens. The proposal focuses on the security of the growing funds pool of the Arbitrum DAO. Based on current prices, the system is expected to provide stakers with an annual return rate of approximately 7%. The proposal states that with only 10% of ARB actively used for governance and voter participation decreasing, the funds pool may become a potential target for governance attacks. Frission's proposal aims to incentivize governance participation, enhance the economic security of the DAO, and reduce the risk of the funds pool being attacked.
