The total number of cryptocurrency ATMs worldwide is expected to reach a new high this year
As of now, the number of installed cryptocurrency ATMs in 2024 is 2564, with the potential to cover the 2861 units dismantled in 2023. In the past 12 months, the total number of cryptocurrency ATMs worldwide has surged by 17.8% to reach 38279 units, approaching the record of 39541 units set in December 2022.
More than 82% of cryptocurrency ATMs worldwide are located in the United States, with Canada ranking second at 7.7%. The installation volume in Australia has surged, increasing nearly 17 times in the past two years to reach 1107 units. At the current installation rate, Australia is expected to surpass Europe's 1584 ATMs. Other countries and regions installing cryptocurrency ATMs include Spain (313), Poland (279), El Salvador (215), Germany (177), and Hong Kong (169). Currently, 72 countries and regions have cryptocurrency ATMs.
