K33 Research: ETH will outperform BTC after ETF launch
K33Research analysts say that the performance of ETH spot ETFs in the US may outperform BTC in the weeks following their launch. K33 analysts Vetle Lunde and David Zimmerman state in their report that these two ETFs are expected to launch as early as July 8 and are a "golden egg" for ETH's price, while Bitcoin will face selling pressure as $850 million in funds are returned to creditors of the collapsed exchange Mt. Gox starting this week.
For over a year, ETH has underperformed BTC, while BTC has gained market-leading growth this year due to over $14 billion in funds flowing into Bitcoin exchange-traded products.
Lunde says that with the arrival of summer and the accumulation of funds, ETFs become a solid catalyst for relative strength in ETH, and I believe the current ETH/BTC price is a good deal for patient traders. "We remain optimistic about the prospects for ETH and expect net inflows to be equivalent to 0.75-1% of ETH's circulating supply in the five months following its launch."
