The French election results led to a hung parliament, with no major party winning a majority of seats, which may affect the passage of new legislation, including cryptocurrency regulations. The left-wing alliance "New People's Front" won 188 seats, becoming the biggest winner, but failed to reach the majority of 289 seats. President Macron's centrist alliance won 161 seats, and Marine Le Pen's far-right National Front won 141 seats. Mark Foster, the EU policy chief of the Crypto Council for Innovation, said that this will make it more difficult to develop new policies, including cryptocurrency regulations.
