Singaporean game developer Mithril Interactive announced the release of multiplayer extraction RPG Dungeonborne for early access on Steam. Mithril released the game’s trailer on YouTube and Steam, mentioning that the release date would be on July 18th.
Dungeonborne is a PvPvE multiplayer game that involves dungeon-crawling experiences along with strategic combat missions against terrifying monsters.
The game is based on a dark fantasy plot setting that needs players to improve their skills and character progression. Post-launch, gamers may proceed individually into dungeon crawling, capitalize on the game’s multiplayer feature, and organize themselves in groups.
Dungeonborne to consider player feedback
Developed on Unreal Engine 5, Dungeonborne features different combat scenes with special moves like perfect blocks and gap closers. The game also has vantage points and trap locations that promise a great experience for both beginner and experienced players.
Elvis, Mithril Interactive’s lead producer, said Dungeonborne’s early access release on Steam is a major leap for the game. He also mentioned that the team behind the Dungeonborne development will continue to work on updates and improvements to enhance the user experience, regardless of the experience levels.
“With Early Access, we’re excited to dive even deeper into this collaborative development process, ensuring Dungeonborne evolves into the best possible experience for everyone, veterans and new players alike.”
-Elvis
Dungeonborne’s early access will feature 8 different classes
The early access release will include eight classes. The classes will include Druid (the recently introduced class), Death Knight, Pyromancer, Cryomancer, Swordmaster, Prince, Rogue, and Fighter.
Players can choose either of the eight classes. Each player is unique and with rare skills, spells, and ability kits on the battlefield. These choices, however, add to the abilities of the characters and make them more competitive within the game.
The differences in class allow gamers to apply different techniques and play styles according to preferences. New skill kits have been introduced in some classes, like Fighter, Death Knight, Rogue, Cryomancer, and Priest, for players to choose from.
Mithril Interactive has also improved Dungeonborne’s PvE element, client and server optimization, and matchmaking lobby updates. The developer has also incorporated a new server to facilitate players in the South American region. This server will have different game modes and an atlas of maps for players to enjoy.
The game has passed different playtests and provided a new alternative gameplay to the popular dungeon-crawling game Dark and Darker. The latest playtests were free and open to everyone, attracting thousands of players. During the playtests, the game peaked at 14,448 simultaneous players and currently has 35 reviews from curators on Steam.
