Russia’s State Duma passes crypto mining regulation bill in first reading
The Russian State Duma has passed a bill legalizing cryptocurrency mining in Russia. According to the bill, the Russian federal government will reach an agreement with the Russian central bank to establish requirements for individuals and legal entities (including mining pool participants) engaged in cryptocurrency mining. Compliance with established requirements will be supervised by the Ministry of Digital Development. The government may also prohibit mining activities in certain areas or individual territories.
