Lugui Tillier, Chief Commercial Officer at Lumx Studios, posted that the future of Ether is relying on the rise of thousands of Layer 2 (L2) blockchains.2024 has seen major NFT series such as Pudgy Penguins, Bored Ape Yacht Club, and Azuki, as well as legacy companies such as Fox Corporations and Flipkart, have announced the launch of their own L2s.This trend, while seen by some as hype, could actually see thousands of L2s emerge in the next year and will contribute significantly to the growth of the Ether ecosystem.L2s solve Ether's scalability and cost problems by batching transactions and sending them back to the main Ether network.Polygon , Optimism, and ZkSync are solving the fragmentation problem with liquidity aggregation layers that are driving the growth of the Ether ecosystem.
