73% of US crypto holders plan to consider candidates’ stance on crypto in presidential vote
According to a preview of Gemini's 2024 cryptocurrency status survey, one-fifth of surveyed Americans own cryptocurrency. The survey also showed that among Americans who own cryptocurrency, 73% of them "plan to consider candidates' positions on cryptocurrency when voting for the next US president".
The survey was conducted by data-driven consulting group Gemini and surveyed 1,200 Americans between May 23, 2023 and June 28, 2024, with 233 cryptocurrency holders being part of the surveyed 1,200 Americans.
Gemini also found that 38% of Americans who do not own cryptocurrency said they are concerned about how the law applies to the industry, which makes them unwilling to participate. The survey showed that nearly half of the non-cryptocurrency holders surveyed said that cryptocurrency needs to be more regulated.
