X faces scrutiny from Irish DPC for using user data to train Grok
Social media platform X is undergoing review by the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC). There have been widespread reports that default settings changes allow users' X data to be included in the training of the artificial intelligence chatbot Grok. Recently, DPC told TechCrunch: "DPC has been in contact with X on this matter for several months, with the most recent interaction taking place yesterday. Therefore, we are surprised by the current developments. We have followed up with X today and are awaiting a response, and expect to further engage with them early next week." (Cointelegraph)
