Bitget Survey: T2E Games Fueling TON’s Rise in Web3 Gaming

In a recent survey report, Bitget , a leading cryptocurrency exchange, shed light on the behaviors and preferences of users engaging with Tap-to-Earn (T2E) games on Telegram. The report, based on 10,534 valid responses collected through questionnaires distributed on Telegram, offers valuable insights into the booming TON ecosystem.

The survey reveals that users of TON games, such as the popular Hamster Kombat, have ample leisure time and are drawn to “Tap-to-Earn” task-based games that are easy to play, have low barriers to entry, and offer frequent rewards.

Meanwhile, the survey’s findings on user game preferences are telling: 86% of respondents play Hamster Kombat, solidifying its dominant position in the TON ecosystem. Tapswap and Blum follow closely, with 79% and 78% of users respectively. 

Rounding out the top five most popular T2E games are Yescoin and Catizen. Notably, over half (54%) of the surveyed participants reported playing up to five games, indicating a significant overlap among users of popular titles.

Notably, decentralized wallets play a vital role in the TON ecosystem, enabling users to engage with Telegram games. According to the survey, recommendations from friends are the primary source of information for choosing decentralized wallets, with 41% of users relying on word of mouth. 

Additionally, 31% of users discover decentralized wallets through Telegram communities, while 27% learn about them through the T2E games they currently play.

Interestingly, the survey reveals that mobile apps are the preferred choice for T2E game users, differing from traditional Web3 users who favor browser extensions. Consequently, Metamask is not the go-to wallet for T2E game users. Instead, Trust Wallet and Bitget Wallet are the most popular options, with an impressive 71% and 68% usage rate, respectively.
