  • Coffeezilla believes Paul’s suit is an attempt to dodge accountability.

Ripple CTO David Schwartz has waded into the ongoing legal battle between the American influencer and professional wrestler Logan Paul and the crypto journalist and Coffeezilla YouTube presenter Stephen Findeisen. Schwartz supported the latter while describing Paul as trying to get the government to punish people for criticizing them.

Schwartz highlighted Findeisen’s uploaded video, claiming Paul was suing him for defamation. The Ripple CTO added a caption to the shared video, criticizing Paul’s lawyers for “taking money from rich people to abuse the legal process.” According to Schwartz, such acts have recognizable consequences that are bound to happen.

Narrating the ongoing situation, Findeisen uploaded a video explaining the issues between Paul and himself. The crypto journalist shared clips showing where Paul praised his works, describing him as a thorough journalist who is good at the job. However, the crypto influencer turned against him following his criticism of some of his activities in the crypto space.

According to Findeisen, Paul hired five lawyers mandated to sue him, hoping that would prevent further exposure to his illegal activities in the crypto space. The journalist cited similar accusations against Paul, including an allegation by the Canadian government accusing him of misappropriating investor funds via his liquid marketplace.

Meanwhile, Findeisen believes Paul’s lawsuit against him is not about defamation, as the latter claims. According to him, Paul wants to dodge accountability by deflecting attention from himself and directing it the other way. He cited a portion of the lawsuit where Paul’s lawyers requested the court to hold him accountable, accusing him of harming their client’s reputation.

Findeisen’s twenty-minute video cited several angles of the ongoing issue and blamed Paul for wrongdoings. He demanded more responsibility from Paul, noting that his lawyers claimed in their suit that their client “has learned to believe in the importance of accountability.”
