OP_NET, a Bitcoin-based DeFi and smart contract solution, is launching a testnet soon
A group of developers will launch the OP_NET testnet for Bitcoin-based DeFi and smart contract solutions on Wednesday, stating that this will bring programmable functionality to Bitcoin. OP_NET uses the Tapscript component of the Bitcoin Taproot upgrade, which means it will support Ordinals and Runes. "We hope to see DeFi fully utilized on Bitcoin," said developer Chad Master, who provided a preview. (Decrypt)
