The White House and Harris' advisors listened to the opinions of executives in the cryptocurrency industry, but made no commitments
ChainCatcher News, local time Thursday, a group of cryptocurrency industry executives had a phone meeting with White House officials and advisors to Vice President Kamala Harris. They provided their opinions when the Democratic presidential candidate was formulating policy positions on cryptocurrency issues. The industry executives expressed their concerns about crypto policies. According to informed sources, neither the White House representatives nor Harris's advisors made any commitments.
The participants in the conference call included senior executives from Coinbase, Ripple, Kraken, Circle as well as venture capitalists Mark Cuban, Chris Dixon and Ron Conway. Bruce Reed, Deputy Director of the White House Office; Lael Brainard, National Economic Advisor; Wally Adeyemo, Deputy Secretary of Treasury; and Kristine Lucius also participated in the call.
