The Fallout: Vault 13 team recently tweeted that the game’s demo will be available for free on its Discord channel at roughly 9 PM Eastern Time on August 8. Fallout: Vault 13 will allow fans to enjoy the original game remake with better graphics, first-person perspective, and real-time combat.
Fallout: Vault 13 is a mod for Fallout 4 that is working to remake the entire Fallout 1 game using the Fallout 4 engine. The original game is a post-nuclear RPG with massive wastelands gamers can explore. Fallout debuted in 1997, and the Fallout games were created after drawing inspiration from it. The game has an ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ overall review on Steam.
The original game remake has been in the works since February 2021. Fallout fans were ecstatic about the news, appreciating the modders’ efforts in working on the project. The team had notably been silent since October last year, leading gamers to speculate about the game’s remake progress. However, Fallout: Vault 13 updates resurfaced in April this year, promising a playable demo this summer.
Fallout game remakes have been popular among modders over the past few years. Fallout 2 is getting a fan-made remake by Fallout 4: Project Arroyo team, which released a location trailer earlier this year. Team FOLON also released Fallout: London in July after five years of development.

The Fallout: Vault 13 team encourages player feedback
The Fallout: Vault 13 team encouraged players to give feedback after downloading and engaging with the demo. The team asked players to submit first impressions and screenshots when playing the demo. The team also appreciated fans’ patience and enthusiasm throughout the development process of the game remake. Most replies to the Fallout: Vault 13 update remained positive.
The team noted that players will require Fallout 4 and a capable PC to run the game, as well as all four Fallout 4 DLCs. Unfortunately, due to technical limitations, the game will not be available on consoles. The Vault 13 team promised that the game would not be greatly affected by the next-gen Fallout 4 update.
The demo will allow players to explore the Inyo region, which encompasses Shady Sands, The Khans, Vault 13, and Vault 15. Some characters gamers can expect include the Vault Dweller, Razlo, Seth, and Aradesh.

Nexus detailed that backpedaling makes the character move 25% slower while strafing reduces speed by 15%. The developer also mentioned that swimming and sneaking drains more AP for characters with Low Endurance.
Nexus Mods mentioned that the Enhanced Movement mod was highly modular and configurable. The mod is compatible with almost all other mods in Fallout 4, including Fallout: London. The mod developer provided a download link in an August 7 tweet.
