We’re about to witness a clash of egos as Elon Musk, the billionaire who owns X (formerly known as Twitter), sits down with Donald Trump, the Republican ex-president who refuses to fade into political obscurity.
Trump spilled the beans about this on his own echo chamber, Truth Social, announcing that he’ll be chatting with Elon about everything under the sun tomorrow night.
Whether it’s his never-ending 2024 presidential campaign, how he and Elon get along, or their mutual disdain for mainstream media and of course the “Radical Left,” you can bet they’ll cover it.
They’re both kings of their own little worlds—Trump in his MAGA universe and Elon in his nerdy utopia—so don’t expect any punches to be pulled.
The timing: Expect chaos?
For all the hype, we don’t actually know when this circus is going to kick off. Trump says it’s happening Monday night, but as usual, details are scarce. Is it live? Pre-recorded? Will it drop at midnight like an album?
Elon isn’t saying much, which means we’re left hanging, wondering if we’ll be refreshing X all night like we’re waiting for a flash sale.
Now, if you’re expecting a polished, sit-down conversation, you might want to adjust your expectations. Trump’s no stranger to saying whatever pops into his head, and Elon isn’t exactly the model of restraint either.
This interview could go in any direction, and that’s probably the only guarantee we have.
What they’re likely to cover: Everything and nothing
Let’s talk topics. Trump’s running for president again, because of course he is, and he’ll be hammering on his 2024 campaign.

He’s got a lot to say about how the country’s being run, and you can bet he’ll use this platform to throw shade at everyone from Joe Biden to his Republican rivals.
Trump loves to play the victim and the hero at the same time, so expect more of the same “Only I can fix it” rhetoric.
Elon, on the other hand, is playing a different game. He’s been cozying up to Trump ever since he decided it would be good business to reinstate his Twitter account that Jack Dorsey suspended.
It’s no secret that Elon endorsed Trump after that assassination attempt in Pennsylvania. But why? What does Elon stand to gain from this?
He’ll probably spill a bit of that in the interview, though knowing Elon, it’ll be wrapped in a bunch of cryptic and off-the-cuff remarks that’ll keep us guessing.
The economy? Yeah, they’ll touch on that. Trump will no doubt brag about his past record and slam the current administration for whatever’s wrong today.
Inflation, jobs, trade—you name it, he’ll find a way to make it all sound like a disaster that only he can avert. See Trump believes that the Bitcoin Biden administration hates could defeat inflation.
And speaking of crypto, don’t be surprised if that pops up too. But perhaps not too deep. Just recently, Elon told us he isn’t too keen on endorsing any crypto, unless it’s a joke. But never anything serious.
Now Trump used to trash talk crypto, but it’s pretty well-known by now that he has completely warmed up to it lately. The former president accepts crypto in campaign donations, and attended the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville.
He has also been endorsed by several top players in the industry, from the Winklevoss twins to the CEO of Ripple, Brad Garlinghouse.

Foreign policy might get a nod, but let’s be real—Trump’s going to steer it back to his usual talking points.
The war in Ukraine, China, NATO—he’ll make it clear that under his watch, things would’ve been different (and better, according to him).
Elon, who fancies himself a global thinker, might throw in some thoughts on space exploration or AI, but don’t hold your breath for anything too deep.
Tomorrow’s conversation isn’t going to change the world, but it could definitely shake up the 2024 election. Trump’s got his eye on the prize, and Elon’s endorsement is a big deal for him.
