Nasdaq ISE withdraws application to list Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF options
Nasdaq ISE has withdrawn two proposals related to the listing and trading of Bitcoin ETF and Ethereum ETF options. According to documents on the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) website, these two proposals were withdrawn on August 13. The Bitcoin ETF proposal was originally scheduled to be published for comments in the Federal Register on August 12, but no comments were received.Recently, other exchanges such as MIAX, MIAX Pearl, and BOX Exchange have also withdrawn similar proposals.Although Cboe withdrew its application last week, it subsequently resubmitted it, which may indicate that the SEC is involved in the process. It is worth noting that the SEC has not yet approved options trading products for spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs.Bloomberg Intelligence analyst James Seyffart predicts that Nasdaq and NYSE will resubmit proposals for listing and trading options for spot Bitcoin ETFs in the near future.
