Electronic Arts intended to announce the game’s release dates through a special release date trailer. However, Warrior64, a popular gaming figure, posted on X the game’s release date seven hours earlier to his 1.1 million followers.

A familiar face to Dragon Age fans also appeared in the trailer. Morrigan, a fan-favorite character, will be returning to the game. The trailer also showed longer glimpses of the game’s protagonist, Rook, than the scenes revealed by the leaked video.

BioWare fans have waited for Dragon Age: The Veilguard for a decade. The game serves as the next chapter of Dragon Age: Inquisition, published in 2014. It will be available on various gaming devices, including the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Microsoft Windows.
