Cryptocurrency startups face a paradox in the U.S. as they need to tap into the tech-savvy American workforce but also avoid running afoul of tough financial regulations. EigenLayer, a popular Ethereum project, employed U.S. developers through a U.S. company while issuing its EIGEN token from an island outside of U.S. securities and tax laws.
