India's CBDC pilot attracts 5 million users, but full-scale implementation not imminent
Over 5 million users are participating in India's retail CBDC pilot, which involves 16 banks. Speaking at a conference in Bengaluru, the senior official of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) emphasized caution in rolling out a system-wide CBDC.
