Celsius bankruptcy administrator has distributed more than $2.53 billion to creditors
The bankruptcy trustee of Celsius has distributed over $2.53 billion to approximately 251,000 creditors. The payments were made in both cryptocurrency and cash at the price of January 16. In court documents submitted on Monday, the trustee stated that they have covered about two-thirds of eligible cryptocurrency lenders, representing about 93% of eligible value. The average distribution for the remaining 121,000 eligible creditors is about $1,500, but they have not yet successfully claimed their distribution. The document states: "About 64,000 of the remaining creditors have a distribution of less than $100, and about 41,000 have a distribution between $100 and $1,000." "Given the small amounts involved for many of the creditors, they may not have the incentive to take the necessary steps to successfully claim their distribution."
