Former Mt.Gox CEO: The current industry has excessive centralization risks, and there are too many scam projects
During the Blockchain Week in South Korea, former Mt.Gox CEO Mark Karpeles stated in an interview that there is currently too much centralized risk and too many scam projects in the industry. "There are so many of these projects," he said, "I have to use the word 'terrible' in a very broad sense because it's either a scam project or one that doesn't bring any particularly outstanding new content." In addition, Karpeles also promoted Hierarchical Deterministic (HD) wallet technology, saying that if HD technology had been available during the Mt.Gox era, the tragedy would not have occurred. It is reported that HD is a type of wallet capable of securely managing and generating multiple pairs of public and private keys; it is generated from a master seed.
