Musk on track to become world first trillion-dollar billionaire by 2027
Sept. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Musk is on track to become the world's first trillion-dollar billionaire by 2027, according to a new report from a wealth tracker, The Guardian reported. The report, from Informa Connect Academy, notes that Musk's wealth at electric car maker Tesla, private rocket company SpaceX and social media platform X (formerly Twitter) has continued to grow at an average rate of 110 percent per year. Musk is now the world's richest man with $251 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. The report began circulating on Friday. The report's analysis also states that Indian business magnate Gautam Adani is expected to become the second trillionaire. He is expected to reach this achievement in 2028 if he maintains an annual growth rate of 123 percent in his wealth.
It is also possible that Jen-Hsun Huang, CEO of tech firm NVIDIA, and Indonesian energy and mining tycoon Prajogo Pangestu could become trillionaires in 2028, provided their wealth growth trajectories remain unchanged. And Bernard Arnault, CEO of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (the world's third-richest man, with about $200 billion) is expected to surpass the trillion dollar mark in 2030, reaching the goal the same year as Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
